Assisi is a city with great Christian history; it is the birth place of St Francis, who founded the Franciscan religion order. Assisi has are a number of Cathedrals reflecting its history, such as the Basilica of St Francis di Assisi (which is a World Heritage Site), St Mary the Greatest, Cathedral of san Rufino, and Basilica of St Clare. In addition, two medieval Castles ( a World Heritage Site).
